Maemo Summit 2009/Location

We need to choose the site, and once the site is chosen, co-ordinate for space requirements, infrastructure requirements, catering, and negotiate overall budget.

Checklist

  • Where will the conference be held?
  • When?
    • October 9, 10, 11, 2009
  • What is the available space & configurations?
    • See [1] - 4 big spaces for 3 tracks plus hang-out space
  • What are our space requirements? (estimate min. and max. attendees and factor in popular vs unpopular sessions)
    • Expected attendees: 300. Min attendees: 250. Max attendees: 400
  • What infrastructure will we need from the facility?
    • Wifi
    • Electricity
    • Chairs
    • Projectors
    • A/V
    • Streaming (?)
    • Hang-out/demo space
  • What infrastructure & "dressing" must we provide?
  • On-site catering: what do we need? Coffee, beer, lunch?
  • Do we deal with caterers directly, or go through the venue?
  • What is the total budget for the facility?
