mardy: I think that built-in location support would be a mistake. Of course the widget should have methods to set the current position, uncertainty, speed, direction and all the rest, but I don't think it should be handling the GPS itself. This would make the widget GPS-library agnostic and hopefully have it gain more widespread usage.
