Anonymous editing allows people without a maemo.org account, or users not logged in, to edit pages in the wiki.

This has two side effects:

  1. It is much easier for people to edit (and hopefully, improve) the content of the wiki.
  2. It is possible for people with accounts to make changes anonymously, when they intended to be logged in; and therefore lose any karma benefits.

The current policy on anonymous editing in the maemo.org wiki is under discussion.
