At the moment, there is no account synchronisation in place between talk.maemo.org and maemo.org accounts.

Linking your accounts will earn you karma which is used in assessing device discount programmes, summit sponsorship and Community Council voting rights.

Step 1: Finding your talk.maemo.org account URL

  1. Log in to talk.maemo.org
  2. Your username should appear at the top-right. Right-click or tap-and-hold on it and select Copy link location.
  3. The URL should be of the form http://talk.maemo.org/member.php?u=... - use the clipboard: do not try to transcribe it.

Step 2: Connecting your maemo.org account

  1. Create a maemo.org account if you do not already have one.
  2. Log in to your maemo.org account and go to the edit account page: http://maemo.org/profile/edit/
  3. Enter any details you want, but - in particular - paste the URL from step 1 in the box labelled talk.maemo.account url.
  4. Press Save.
  5. Check your privacy settings and click Publish.

Conclusion

Karma is calculated every couple of days, so you will not see the changes immediately. You can keep track of your - and everyone else's - karma here on the profile list page.
