Glom lets you quickly throw together a database structure and UI layout, providing a Maemo UI with no coding. You can then use Python for anything more complicated, though Glom itself already supports features such as related records, related fields, related choices, field lookups, calculated fields, and translated UIs.

JamMo - Jamming mobile game for children

JamMo is an educational music making game for children at age 3-12. It is targeted for Maemo 5 Fremantle. It uses GStreamer at music backend and Clutter toolkit for graphical user interface. In this talk we present the first version of the application and our experiences on underlying technologies. The development of JamMo is open to everyone who is interested to contribute in any way.
