[[Updating_the_tablet_firmware#Seamless_Software_Update]] leads me to believe that this setup will be broken if Nokia pushes an update to the initfs, but perhaps I am reading it wrong.  Wish there were a solution.  Maybe this issue should be mentioned in the main page?  --[[User:gabkdlly|gabkdlly]] 11:24, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Why on earth would anyone do such a horrible thing?

Doesn't require root access and keeps gnutar out of the $PATH (bad things can happen there). I don't see what's so "horrible" about it, though. It's a perfectly valid setup. Also, please remember to login and sign your comments. :) —GeneralAntilles 12:49, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
