I'm just another guy with a N900. I am tinkering here and there. Most of my work so far on maemo was crypto related, like getting TrueCrypt 7 running with a GUI(if you need it...) and Kernel Crypto Support. A new, more enduser ready version is on the way. I'll release it once power kernel v48 hits the repos. It'll ship the xts module, so TC with kernel crypto support will work out of the box with pk48(for AES and Twofish).
I have encrypted the /home/ partition (mmcblk0p2) by using LUKS and fbcon what some of you guys might find interesting. More about this, here.
I kinda love the idea of using the device mapper and g_file_storage to get some kind of a more or less secure mobile storage thing.
From time to time I am working on a N900 Rescue OS (A wiki entry with details will follow). A first testing release can be expected in the end of July 2011.
