[edit] Software wish-list

Somebody want to work on merging the software wish-list and this page, and deleting whichever one you feel should go? —GeneralAntilles 05:09, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The calendar topic

OK, mCalendar is great, but I still don't think it's a suitable app to say "a calendar is implemented". Hold it up next to the calendar on the wall. Does it even LOOK like a calendar? To most people, calendar == month view. I applaud the decision to make sync an integral part of the program, as well as making it finger-friendly, but If I tried to use it to keep my schedule, I'd be dead.

Agendus was very good. Pocket Informant was much much better. Mostly because he was willing to listen to users and apply suggestions.

My calendar expectations: Day view, multi (i.e. 3) day view. Week and 2 week view. Month view with icons. Filtered list view. Per-appointment colors and fonts. Different alarm sounds per appointment. Recurring tasks. Integration of tasks into the calendar. Simple on-the-go appointment/task entry. Sync and/or backup. Multiple calendars. More to come... --boxofsnoo 13:00, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

datebook from Pimlico is a really great palm application, as it builds on top of the palm app, so everything works as before but gets extended.. I was very happy to pay real money for a license.
