All these hacks are tested on PR1.2(!!), but the cmdlines here are just off top of my head, so maybe typos or sth can be found. Patch eMMC aka *VANILLA* image file for larger /home partition (much easier than repartitioning the N900 *after* flashing. So if that's not obvious, this part is meant to be done on your linux desktop, prior to fresh full flash):
