The idea of modifying the way the Conversations App displays our SMS/IM conversations was initially brought up here in this thread.

The modified files are to be placed in /usr/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html/. Or you can use this script to automate the process.

Remember to make backups.

There are 2 files for each type of conversation: 1 html file filled with divs you can rearrange and 1 css file that holds margins and such.

To convert your theme to work better in portrait mode, use this script.
