The Open Source in Mobile World conference is an interesting venue to know more about the business and technical context of the Maemo platform. Venue

The Maemo Summit is held in the heeadquarter of c-base, a non-profit association located in Berlin, Germany which has about 300 members. The purpose of this association is to increase knowledge and know-how regarding computer software, hardware and data networks (more).

c-base is in the very Mitte of Berlin.

Participants

It's the first Maemo Summit and it is good to know in advance who plans to attend, to fine tune practicalities and have enough space, connection, drinks, food.

A basic registration process will be started soon. Yes, the entrance is free. Registration is still requested for planning purposes.

Sponsoring community contributors

Ideally all the good fellows should be in the Maemo Summit. There is some budget from Nokia reserved to help key Maemo community contributors landing and sleeping in Berlin. Key application developers, platform hackers and community contributors with humble pockets are invited to apply.

More details on how to apply to be announced soon. This is only for people not working professionally on Maemo development.

Accommodation

We are looking for affordable accommodation. Tips are welcome. The budget for sponsoring contributors is fixed, which means that cheaper accommodation will bring more people to the Summit.
