A new variation of the [Nokia N810|N810]] has been announced that will operate on Clearwire and Sprint's Xohm WiMax network. Sprint and Nokia have said that activating WiMAX can be done from the device with no Wi-Fi connection. Sprint also says that WiMAX will be done in a pay-as-you-go method. This means that one will be able to purchase a length of time (day, week, month, year, etc.) instead of being locked to paying a certain amount every month.
