The N900 is my first Nokia device and I love the sense of fdereom and creativity that it offers. I'm not a developer but a simple business user, so I would like to see the phone's capabilities strengthened in this important area. I would also donate a kidney and my right eye for an app that would enable the convenience of voice command (music, calendar, time etc) on this brilliant, cult-like, masterpiece...visually impaired people would appreciate it too. Well done so far. I hope to see my requests realised in the very near future. Thanks.

This proposal arises from the CPH weekend.

It would be useful to have infrastructure for the Mer project on Garage.

This task is not to provide that infrastructure but simply to specify what that infrastructure should support.

Suggestions:

  • Setting up Mer transifex server;
  • bandwidth hungry packaging tasks such as pulling gitorious releases, making packages and pushing to OBS which is unreliable on slow links.
  • Trialing OBS setup
  • Running services such as sprintweb
  • Support the garage/Mer integration work

I am thinking of a number of VMs rather than physical hardware at this point.

This task is not yet ready for consideration :)
