[edit] Evaluating Transifex
This task is part of a series of tasks for the overall goal of bringing localization and proofreading of strings used in Maemo, Mer and other applications to the community. As it is a long-term goal that will require the cooperation of several key community and Nokia members, it has been split up into several smaller tasks so that each piece can be pushed into the Maemo SCRUM backlog.
See the Community Localization topic for more information on the overall set of tasks and goals.
[edit] Conboy
Conny, author of Conboy, is evaluating Transifex. You can join the effort by signing up on Transifex, and providing your username to Conny who will then grant you rights to provide translations.
[edit] Task
The installation of an instance of the Transifex localization platform for the purpose of evaluating its merits for Maemo, Mer and 3rd party applications for the Maemo platform.
Alternatively, if the resources cannot be gathered together for installing a hosted instance under the Maemo banner, the publicly hosted instance of Transifex could be used for the purpose of evaluation instead.
The Mer project has expressed interest and desire to be a testing bed for Transifex's integration and implementation for Maemo.
