Is there a reason why in "5. Control files and their fields" you do not mention how to localize descriptions? ossi1967

Thanks for the hint. It wasn't on purpose, but it would make sense to have it there. Will check and add that! danielwilms

The contents headings really need cleaning up - the table of contents is more than 2 screen lengths long on my laptop. Is there any way we can remove about 3/4 of the headings, demote most of the H1s and H2s to H2s and H3s, or split the page into several sub-pages? For my part, someone coming to the page looking for policy will probably start to be interested around the chapter "The Maemo archives". Do we really need all of the context-setting stuff in chapter 1? --Dave Neary 11:59, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

The headings pretty closely match the Debian policy, so are appropriate in order to make comparisons between the two. I think that the headings should stay, and the TOC limit template should be used, if this bothers people. Personally, I would just leave the page as is, as browsing through the table of contents and clicking links is quite convenient. Limiting the TOC depth will make that harder. amigadave 12:09, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Bugtracker link

The "5.1 Package control files: debian/control" section says:

"XSBC-Bugtracker: Link to a valid bugtracker. Requirement for promotion to maemo.org extras repository."

But the QA Checklist says:

"A missing bugtracker is NOT a blocker as of 01.09.2010, but use of bugtracking facilities IS strongly recommended."

Please can you change the first line to something like that:

"XSBC-Bugtracker: Link to a valid bugtracker. Requirement[1] Strongly recommended for promotion to maemo.org extras repository."

Thanks
