Could a Mac user document the instructions for showing hidden files in Finder, please? I can't seem to find any easy reference on the internet.

Revision as of 16:35, 8 December 2009

Regarding the N900 device:

1) Can we reformat the partition that is mounted as /home/user/MyDocs as ext3 ou ext4?

2) What would be the implications of that? I don't mind if it can't be seen by Windows boxes, but would it work as an USB mass storage device for Linux boxes?

3) What about increasing the size of /opt by decreasing the size of /home/user/MyDocs?

4) It seems that MyDocs must stay as VFAT for the the Camera to work (is it hardcoded in the hardware or driver?). Can anyone really confirm this?

I have a general question about the N900 filesystem: is it possible to display (and move/rename/delete) hidden files and directories (for example, the directories in /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/User Guides/...)? I haven't found a way.

To make this page useful, you probably only need to explain how to show hidden files in the various file managers people user (Windows Explorer, Finder, Nautilus).
