Talk:Task:PIM

I'm to shy to start on the main page and I dont really know what exactly is expected. I'd suggest a discussion should include:

  • What's PIM, anyway? I'd suggest the following to stay in line with popular clients and online services like Ovi:
    • Contacts
    • Calendar
    • Notes
    • Tasks
    • Syncing of all the above
  • What do we have? Contrary to what we all say, we do have some of it. EDS, right? I use syncevolution+scheduleworld.com for syncing. Integrates really well with stock applications. Pimplico Contacts makes a not perfect, but working interface for contact details not shown in stock contacts applications ..., so ATM I do have a working PIM for contacts that includes syncing and integrates (almost) perfectly with Internet Calls and Chats from the Telepathy side.
  • Workflows we want to - ah... work. (?) Like: I want to have a sync option that always overwrites local data from server. I want to have contact's birthdays automatically show up in calendar. I want it all to be integrated with Chat and Internet Call the way it is now. - etc.
  • Technical background...? no input here from my side

This looks indeed like a good structure for the main page: Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Tasks, Syncing + a General section for features umbrella, integration, UX or whatever.--qgil 20:43, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Three to-do list managers for GNU/Linux. All GTK-based. Someone who runs Linux and eager to check them out willing to review them and imagine how they work on Maemo (or make a quick port)?
