Got Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) running on the N900.

  • Wi-Fi
  • Mounting the Maemo rootfs partition (ubi0:rootfs)

  • Sound not tested.
  • Watchdog kicker (bah, forgot to save how I did it, will worry about that later)
  • Accelerated X, working on it, won't be redistributable/part of image.
  • Cellular modem (I wouldn't hold my breath - maybe when MeeGo's out)
