[edit] Deprecated content
Some content is considered deprecated, but has no direct equivalent in the latest documentation. some of it might still be appropriate for inclusion in the documentation portal.
- Tutorials
- HOWTOs (outdated - we might want to cherry-pick those that are still useful and put them in the wiki)
These have not been carried forward to the 4.1 platform guide as far as I can see - at least, I have not found their equivalent in there. --Dave Neary 11:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, the relevant are. For instance, "How to use the Camera API" = "8.3 Camera API Usage". Integrating all the separate HowTo's in a single and integrated piece of documentation was the main exercise done with the Maemo Diablo Reference Manual. If there is a relevant doc missing then it's a bug.--qgil 09:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Other possible content
- Quality considerations deserves special attention since contains all the elements that are relevant for mobile development. --Quim Gil
- The chapter title didn't mean anything to me - I'm not sure how to sell that on the development portal. --Dave Neary 11:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- I won't argue the catchiness of the title, but the content of this chapter is essential, specially for the majority of developers not familiar woth mobile platforms and its specific constraints and security aspects. This chapter contains also a very useful checklist to assess the potential quality level of your application.--qgil 09:34, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
